St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church is offering a Lenten fish fry dinner from 5:30 to 7:15 pm on April 1 and April 8. Plates are $ 15, a side of shrimp is $ 4.

Guests can place their order of a fish plate, a shrimp plate or a side of shrimp online and then pick up the to-go plates the night of the dinner. Proceeds benefit the church’s youth ministry.

Crawfish festival returns to Hockley

The second annual Peel for a Purpose Crawfish Festival is set for 1 pm on April 2 at Texas Hideout in Hockley, near Magnolia. General admission is $ 20.

Petty tribute band performs at winery

Local quilt show returns to church

The Piecemakers of Klein United Methodist Church presents their annual “Joy of Quilting” quilt show from 10 am to 3 pm on April 8-9 at the church. Admission is $ 5 or five cans of food for the church food pantry.

Food drive benefits local families

Scouts BSA Troops 1811 and 1812 and the Klein High School Space Force JROTC will be collecting non-perishable food in local neighborhoods and at the Klein ISD Police Department from 9 am to 1 pm on April 9.

The group is seeking donations of non-perishable foods, general school supplies, infant care supplies and feminine hygiene supplies benefitting Bundles of Hope which maintains a food pantry at Fellowship of Champions Church in Klein. The organization provides assistance to the elderly and to Klein ISD families.
