1. ANDstros SS Carlos Correa has signed a 3-year deal with the Minnesota Twinstotaling $ 105.3 millionwith a yearly payout of $ 35 millionmaking his salary the fourth highest in Major League Baseball. The deal is still pending and if approved, Correa’s time with Houston will end. (Click2Houston)

2. The family of Doran Kellythe man who was gunned down in his office Wednesday afternoonis trying to understand what happened. Kelly was a supervisor at Cedar Gate Technologies for seven years. The 48-year-old was allegedly shot and killed by Montavious Wright, an employee. (ABC 13)

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner criticized the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) approval of an amendment to the Texas General Land Office State Action Plan as a sanctioning of “discrimination.” Additionally, US Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee, Al Green and Sylvia Garcia on Saturday called for Justice Department interventionciting discrimination against the Houston residents if any aid is spent under the current distribution system. 5. Dmitriy Kozhushanovaco-owner of Dance Life Houstonand his wife, Yuliyaare working to raise money to help get Ukrainian orphans to safety. Dance Life Houston will host free group dance lessons on Thursdays at 8 pm and Fridays at 7 pm Lessons are free with a donation of at least $ 1and all the money from sales on those days will be donated to help refugees.
